Over the last couple weeks I had the pleasure of watching both plays performed by the students of NIS. The middle school play, NIS Goes Back To The 80s, was written by the students and directed by Mrs. Sword and another student. The play was fantastic in every way: jokes, references to 80s media and a dynamic cast who played their roles perfectly. Watching the Middle School play was like being sent back to the 80s, and it played out like an 80s movie, which was incredibly fitting. In difficult times, the middle school actors really gave us a spectacular performance.
Similarly the High School play, Chaos, was perfect. The play featured a heartfelt script and the performers delivered the lines in such a moving way. It captured the intricacies of high school life, highlighting the highs and lows, the epic triumphs and defeats that come with navigating the chaotic world. Seeing the actors on stage trying to make sense of their world really spoke to the audience, and had everyone's attention to the end. The play was an epic success for Ms. Duffy and all the performers and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.
