Hi, welcome to the first episode of aesthetic tactics, today we will be reviewing some interior designs you might like. You can use them as inspiration to decorate your house. Since we have to stay home more often because of the pandemic, it has to look good inside.
Minimalism
It is the most popular interior design and the most simple one. It is all about using the bare minimum to get a simplistic and orderly look. It usually has a monochrome color palette and clean lines. A minimalist design tends to look relaxing and fresh.
Maximalism
As the name suggests, it is the opposite of minimalism. In my opinion, it looks amazing and deserves more attention. It is a loud style that promotes saturated colors, patterns, layering, etc. the more, the better! For this type of aesthetic, having a general theme in mind might be a good way to make things work well together.
Boheme
The bohemian style is another famous aesthetic we are all familiar with. It often uses earthy tones or neutral colors as a base and more colorful design and patterns to make it more interesting. You should definitely have plants in your house in order to have the perfect bohemian look. A bohemian look is relaxing and peaceful. You can think of it as the middle ground of minimalism and maximalism.
Rustic
The term rustic is pretty board and could be applied to many different styles. It describes a casual, rough, and natural design. Wood and stones are often used to create a “natural” effect and give an earthy look. When going for this style, you want to have a fresh and grounded aesthetic. Predictably, the color palette is natural and the overall look welcoming. Handmade products work really well with the rustic style.
Hollywood glam
When hearing this name, the first thing that comes to mind is hollywood itself, and it is for a reason. The overall look has to be iconic and fabulous. You need to look rich and classy. The colors should be kept simple but all types of pattern are welcome. Accessorising properly is key.
Shabby chic
This aesthetic incorporates elegance and comfort with a vintage decor. Use neutral colors for the base of your look and add antique furniture. Do not be shy when it comes to accessories. You should add floral patterns to create a more cozy look.
Industrial
You could think of it as a modern version of the rustic look. Material exposure is a big part of the industrial design. Iron, copper, glass, wood, leather and linen are great options. Furniture should have a large scale and clear lines with a neutral color palette.
